SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer, Senior in support of our NAVSEA P&EDM contract. The candidate will be responsible for the design and documentation of mechanical and electromechanical components and systems, as well as supporting fabrication and integration efforts.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Documenting and designing mechanical and electromechanical components and systems.
- Developing complete drawing packages (Level-3 drawings, block diagrams, Bills of Materials [BOM], manufacturing, assembly, modeling, renderings, and installation) using Autodesk Inventor 3D.
- Independently analyzing specifications and performance requirements to ensure designs are manufacturable with existing methods.
- Determining the feasibility of new or modified components, considering cost, space, timeline, planning, and other technical or economic factors.
- Independently researching and analyzing data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess design or application feasibility.
- Creating detailed technical drawings and documentation packages based on extensive engineering experience.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Ten (10)+ years full-time professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the design, development, production, or testing of electronic, electromechanical, and/or hydro-electronic equipment.
- Experience performing thermal analysis of components and conducting Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) in accordance with Military Standard procedures.
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred), including strong skills in 3D modeling, BOM generation, and cost/quality assessment.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior NAVSSI technicians.

<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Five (5) years of specialized experience in the following areas:</span>

<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Demonstrated experience supporting the Department of the Navy and/or other Department of Defense (DoD) programs.</span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Developing cost estimates associated with Level of Effort (LOE), scope of work and associated requirements.</span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Managing multiple Technical Instructions (TIs), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Task Orders (TOs).</span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Leading teams of skilled professional, technical, and support personnel.</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Strong knowledge and understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Department of Defense (DoD) procurement policies.</span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Excellent understanding of functional organizational operations, including scheduling, procurement, business development, and quality systems.</span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Demonstrated experience with formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures is desired.</span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Specific and relative experience as a capture manager, writing proposals, and preparing bids. </span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Demonstrated experience in leading new business development, organic growth on existing projects.</span></li>
<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Proven track record in business development and growing existing contracts. </span></li>

<li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">PMP certification or accredited project management course with certification</span></li>
